Artusi are the newest kid on the block at Southgate Shopping Precinct and they sure are making some noise.
Creators Luis Pampliega and Tamara Volkoff have put a new spin on the classic Italian wine bar, inviting guests to experience ‘the art of eating and drinking well’, and with an extensive menu of artisan handmade pastas; a luxe Italian and European wine list; and a breathtaking view of the Yarra – it will not disappoint the eyes or the palate.
Artusi opened earlier this month truly embracing the whimsy of the theatre with live opera and singing performances. Their menu celebrates true Italian cooking, and offers simple items that are brought to life through the integration of organic and seasonal ingredients.
But the experience doesn’t stop with the menu. Artusi’s contemporary layout has made their kitchen a focal point, allowing diners to actually ‘watch what they eat’ with food preparation done within view of tables and the bar, adding a truly interactive element to the dining experience.
Artusi offers both bar and dinner menus that will cater to your every Italian craving, whether you love try it all in appetizers or gorge in rich pastas. They have found their home next to Hamer Hall and if you’re looking for a dining experience to accompany your theatre experience check out Artusi.
