Put on your best heels and brogues ladies and gentlemen, because Melbourne Spring Fashion Week has kicked off for another year. The festival runs for just over a week and delivers an array of free and paid runway shows (approximately $35-$45 a ticket) , with perhaps the most exciting events being the upcoming Mr, to be held this Thursday, 5 September 2013.
As the first ever men’s event at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, expectations are high. With our fair city’s stylish men, this night is dedicated to them with a night of runway shows, a style workshop and ofcourse drinks – provided by the Kopparberg Bar. Who will be on show? Autonomy, Honor Among Thieves, Jack London, Saxony, Ben Sherman, Dom Bagnato and Levi’s with be showcasing their stuff.
And who can forget about us women? Well, for those who struggle to match their monochrome prints there’s a style workshop on Saturday the 7th of September with expert stylists and a resort wear runway to help get you into the mood this spring/summer. Not enough? What about getting your nails done for free at the Mecca Maxima Nail Bar or attending an auction for some limited edition garments by The Chameleon – a collaboration between Social Studio and a range of emerging fashion labels?
With a great range of activities going on during the festival, there’s no excuse not to attend.
