Good Beer Week just isn’t long enough! Sure, the catchy branding is self explanatory to the neutral consumer – being for only one week. But the days between the 16th to 24th 0f May which comprised of Good Beer Week were jammed packed with a variety of fantastic events. The festival has proven to be a success and isn’t just aimed at the food and beer nerds of Melbourne. Rather, it creates the perfect setting for having a beer conversation, be it in the dinning haul of a pub or the warehouse of a micro brewer.
As Good Beer Week recently wrapping up, The Modern Connoisseur reflects on one of the later events it attended for 2015 – Tippler & Co’s Once In a Brew Moon. The event included a multi-course meal matched with beautiful Napoleon beers.
We bring you the night in pictures.
The food at Tippler & Co is unexpectedly good and was perfectly matched to the Napoleon beers. A couple of noteworthy pairing were the Red Gum Smoked Chicken Ribs with the Napoleon Helles Lager and the The Hunters Feast – a Trio of Duck (duck lasagna) with the ‘Fighting Jack’ Extra Special Bitter.
Overall Tippler & Co was an unexpected gem – the interior of the venue is almost like a re-modeled cargo container and the welcoming vibe is definitely generated by the friendly and passionate staff.
