Art is an interesting beast, constantly evolving but also retaining its strong relevance to today’s world. It makes us happy, disgusted, indifferent and even question ‘what is art?’ If two people were to look at any art installation, one may will get it while the other may not.
To celebrate the interplay of light and music, QV Melbourne will be transformed into a stunning art installation. Colour and animation will be illuminating onto a multi-dimensional cubic sculpture at QV Square from Wednesday the 19 to Sunday 23 of February.
Designed by Kit Webster and Pierre Proske, the multi-dimensional cubic sculpture will be a spectacular installation for shoppers and pass-byers during both day and night. Complemented with sweet DJ tunes from Chiara Kickdrum and others, it’s the ideal place to hang out after work and be inspired under the Luma Domes.
In addition to the light show, Saturday the 22 February will be the centerpiece attraction. In connection with Melbourne White Night, QV Square will be hosting an all-night light event. DJs will be pumping tunes from 5pm and a special appearance by Lisa Mitchell, supported by Melbourne guitar duo, Georgia Fair. This is a free performance, inviting audience a special occasion to listen to the beautiful voice of Lisa whilst the light projections fill QV Square.
QV Luma Vibes will be playing at QV Square from Wednesday 19 February – Sunday 23 February
