St. Ali are more than just coffee roasters. They’re brunch meccas located on both sides of the Yarra. Their food is something special, their venues warm and exciting and their coffee perfection. Their roasted beans can be found all over Melbourne.
One might think that the fact of having established a strong coffee empire would be enough. Not for St. Ali. They are reaching for the stars to build innovation around their brand. It was only early this year that St.Ali had set up shop at Big Day Out, providing festival goers with a decent coffee. Now St. Ali has partnered up with Smart Car to help launch buysmartnow.
Andrew Gale of St. Ali served up some delicious hors d’oeuvre: avocado & crayfish; Gravlax, horseradish & parsley; and, pea soup & pancetta crisp. Matt Perger (current Australian Barista champion) mixed up some smashing cold-drip Negronis – made with gin, vermouth rosso, Campari and St. Ali’s cold drip coffee – and jasmine and pearl green tea Mojitos.
Pumping tunes by Grant Smiley, lighting by 50 Kaliber and textures by Micheal and Lindy Kim of Milk & Co made this a very cool and clever night outing. Or in other words – Smart.
