Taste of Melbourne: Press Club Projects

Only a week and a bit before Taste of Melbourne 2015 opens at Albert Park

With winter drawn to a close and well into spring, Melbourne’s social calendar just got a healthy boost. Not only graced with additional hours of sunlight, warmer temperatures and a multitude of things to see and do; it also marks the occasion of The Modern Con’s favourite foodie event – Taste of Melbourne.

Held from the 12 to 15 of November at Albert Park, it’s one of the largest restaurant festivals on the foodie calendar. With over 50 restaurants to graze through, the event is perfect to introduce new and established restaurants of Melbourne, take part in a master class, experience live demonstrations or enjoy the sun with a great selection of beer and wine.

Unlocking The Modern Con’s media archives of 2014, we rediscovered one of our memorable experiences to last year’s festival. Press Club Projects is one of the many segments that make up George Colunbas ventures. Born out of the revitalisation of the Press Club and the inception of Gazi, the Press Club Project is an up close and one-of-a-kind food experience surrounded by the concept of beta – to experiment. It’s a private dining experience like no other as Head Chef Luke Croston takes small groups on a journey to challenge the perceptions of food and taste.
