With summer subsiding once again, we turn our heads towards Autumn/Winter. While it may be a daunting thought to some, it’s not all doom and gloom … well not just yet. To get your sartorial look ready and to look fabulous for the season ahead, you only have to turn to the annual Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (previously known as L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival).

It’s the perfect time to dress with an edge and get inspired by the latest local and international fashion pieces for Autumn/Winter. To be a true fashion killer extends beyond style and is essentially a reflection on the type of person you are – coupled with your of beverage for the festival. To celebrate the launch of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, Rekorderlig has developed a signature fashion influenced cider cocktail – Dolce & Guava. This cocktail will be revealed in the Rekorderlig Fashion Lounge on opening night on the 17th of  March.

To get into the spirit of fashion, Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival and Rekorderlig have shared this cocktail recipe for you to try at home. Whether being an after work beverage or pre-drinks before a fashion show, it will inject some glamour and flavour to your day. Drink up fashionistas!

Dolce & Guava Cocktail

150ml London dry gin
150ml Lemon Juice
150ml Pomegranate Sugar
150ml Sugar syrup
10 Raspberries
1 Bottle of Rekorderlig Apple/Guava

Shake all ingredients in a mixers and serve with ice. Pour cocktail into glass using a strainer.

Makes approximately 10 cocktails. The portions will have to be varied if using a standard cocktail kit.

  1. What is Pomegranate Sugar? And were do you get it?
    Also shaking a fizzy drink isn’t a good idea! 1. Wont it go flat and 2. Couldn’t the cocktail shaker explode from the fizz creating a big mess?
